We are a gender inclusive community of Bhikkhus and Bhikkhunis following the early teachings of the Buddha. The monastic community is supported entirely on free-will donations and there are no fees to participate in anything offered by the monastery.

Retreats at Empty Cloud Monastery provide the conditions for you to deepen your meditation practice in an intensive and supportive environment.
Staying at the monastery for two weeks to a month is an excellent way to improve your practice of mindfulness and meditation, while developing generosity and virtue.
Since its inception in 2016, Buddhist Insights has invited monastics of all different traditions to teach at our retreats – first at the Rockaway Summer House, then at Empty Cloud since 2019. We have also collaborated with other like-minded practitioners from different faiths and disciplines.
TheriZine is a Dhamma publication for free distribution. It features a selection of verses from the Therigatha, a collection of ancient poems by the enlightened disciples of the Buddha in the Pali Canon. All poetry was translated by Ayya Soma from Pali into English and Italian, and edited by Bhante Suddhaso.
